The city has about 480,000 people and the metropolitan area of about 1.5 million people is growing about as steady as the ever-changing skyline. Las Vegas is located in the southern corner of Nevada and is centered between a winter ski mountain resort and a large lake used mostly for boating, jet skiing and camping. The vast open deserts surrounding the Las Vegas area bring high thrills to any off road lover. Too many casinos to name, too many places to see, too much fun. Las Vegas is a treat for all.
Nowhere else can you find a city that has all the amenities that only a complete resort destination can offer: luxurious hotels, fine dining, wonderful live entertainment and state-of-the art convention facilities. Recognized all over the world, our famous Strip is where tourists can enjoy a walk in the warm desert evening, or take a stroll downtown and view a dazzling light show that spans an entire street - the Fremont Street Experience. You can also get a glimpse of amazing world famous re-creations like erupting volcanoes, the Eiffel Tower and the Sphinx of Egypt.
Las Vegas offers top quality entertainment, attractions, shopping and world-renowned resorts. Las Vegas nightlife will keep you up until dawn and art displays, music and museums take you on a journey from the classic to the contemporary. Downtown Las Vegas offers an energetic display of color with a bit of nostalgia and a glimpse of the future. If you are looking to enjoy the Wild West and our great outdoor recreation, beyond the glamour and glitter of our neon lights, we have plenty to see. There are enchanting panoramas in the Red Rock National Conservation area, Lake Mead National Recreation area and at Mount Charleston. All are only minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.

What Is The Weather Like In Las Vegas?
Weather in Las Vegas is not always like you might think it is like. You might expect oppressive heat and then realize that the entire time you were at the pool it was fine. The truth is it is almost always perfect weather when you are in the casino. Walk around the hotel and you'll be so comfortable you won't want to leave. That's the idea so you can expect some pretty decent climate controlled hotels. However, I understand that you might want to walk along the Las Vegas strip or consider a day at the pool working on your tan while sipping a cocktail or two so that is why I have the Las Vegas weather covered for you.
Pack you swimsuit and load up on the SPF 50 because the temperatures are right at that spot where you'll have to be at the pool for at least a couple of hours. Summer is on the way so you should know what the weather in Las Vegas is like in June, July, August and September.

Need a Drink? 10 Bars You Should Check Out in Las Vegas
Cocktail, beer or wine? Tequila, bourbon, vodka? What ever you need most bars can get it for you. In Las Vegas it is about the drinks but it is also about the little things that make a few drinks special. If I'm in a noisy place I like the idea of whispering into the ear of my special someone. If I'm looking for a little romance I need the dark spot in the corner. If I want to be loud and rowdy I want a view and a few televisions to help me throttle back a few beers. The beauty of the Las Vegas strip is that the options are in abundance and you can hop from one bar to another without ever losing that slightly numb feeling.
